Net 1.1 and 2.0 and SQLServer 2000 and 2005 at one machine

Hi,
we have a VServer with Server 2003.
I'd like to install Software for net 1.1, 2.0 and also SQLServer 2000 and
2005 on it.
Does anybody knows if that's possible without problems. I have a consultant
here (from cognos) who tells me it's not possible. Can't believe that.
Please help.

Virtual Server, but I can't tell you why it would be any different. Is the

I am doing exactly what you want to do
be it that I use VirtualPC cause I am still in test
so far everything is working fine

By requiring .NET Framework 1.1 implies the server is doing more than just
run SQL Server. As Kent says running SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 on a single system
works if you have enough resources, also having both frameworks is possible

which implies that if this can't be done the problem is elsewhere or does not
exist!

Needed software for designing reports

We currently have SQL 2005 (enterprise) reporting services hitting an
odbc based backend (mysql usually). It works great. I run Visual
Studio Pro (and have msdn sql server on my local machine), develop
reports locally and deploy them.
I know the express edition of SQL 2005 reporting services cannot use
an ODBC datasource. Only the standard and up versions.
My question is: For other employees to create and deploy reports what
software (and licenses) are needed? Ideally, I'd love to just deploy
Visual Studio Express and SQL 2005 Express for the users that need to
modify reports, but I have a feeling that won't work...
any ideas?
thank you!If they are just designing reports then you can give the BI Studio (not sure
if that is what it is called). When you install the designer it installs a
version of VS if you do not have it installed. This is free. Also, there are
no licensing issue either. RS is licensed by the server, not by where you
have the client tools installed.
You will want to have a server they can deploy to as part of the development
process, however, for most of their testing they can do this from the
development environment.
If the users can't handle Report Designer (which is really a developer
targeted tool) then check out report builder.
Note, you do not need SQL Server install locally in order to design reports.

a bit about extracting data with the select statements from the VFP
database. We are in the talks of converting the the SQL version of our ERP
and I have some very basic questions since I am extremely new to the SQL
world.
I have created executable forms in VFP that queries the VFP tables for
certain users. Can I continue to use these forms or do I need to go to
another software. Is my understanding correct that SQL cannot create forms
like the VFP does? If I can use the VFP interface what is the Select syntax
to access the SQL database from within the VFP interface?

I'm afraid you will need to supply a lot more information than this.
What table(s) exist for storing these details? What technology are you
using to design the report? What does the "Time Range" value in the
report represent (looks like hours?) Do you simply need a SQL
Statement to prepare data in the "report" format you specified?

An idea is to create a temp table, and filling it op with one row at a time.
The rows can be foud by declaring a datetime variable, and assigning it the
lowest datetime you need to have in your report.
Then you kan do something like this:
